SBDC workshop offers social media strategies for small businesses

LEWISBURG, Pa. — The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Bucknell University will offer the workshop, "Social Media Strategies for Small Businesses," Thursday, March 29, from 1 to 4 p.m. in the SBDC Education Center, Room 308 of the DeWitt Building at 416 Market Street in Lewisburg.
Jeff Hyde will lead the workshop, discussing how to integrate such social media as Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn into business and marketing plans, how to measure social media effectiveness, how to use third-party tools to monitor an online presence, and what consumers expect from social media connections.
State program leader for entrepreneurship with Penn State Extension, Hyde has taught social media marketing to several hundred business owners for nearly four years. He has become a leader in social media marketing for agricultural and food businesses, presenting at several national conferences and to national audiences via web technologies.
The cost to attend is $35 per person; the fee includes one-year subscription to Inc. magazine. Veterans may attend free of charge.
