Faculty Your professors are your best source of academic advising and support, and you are encouraged to consult them directly whenever you have concerns regarding your course work. However, keep in mind that unless you have been working with an academic dean, faculty may not be aware of your individual needs or be aware of any approved academic accommodations that have been arranged for you. Course and Lab Assistants For many courses, faculty members may enlist the help of graduate and undergraduate students who may be a resource for you. It is also important to check with your professor regarding the availability of regularly scheduled help or study sessions for individual courses. Writing Center Trained peer tutors who will work with you individually are available for some courses and a limited number of subjects. Before requesting a tutor, you are first encouraged to seek the advice of your professor. To request peer tutoring, please consult with the Writing Center at (570) 577- 3141. Professional consultants are available to work with students individually on study skills and time management. To request an appointment, please call the Writing Center at (570) 577-3141.
