Fraternity Billing Process


Fall and Spring

  • An e-mail is sent to the chapter treasurer and president with a current membership roster during the preceding semester. 
  • Chapter leadership fills in the blank charge blocks with charge amounts (Dues, Meals, Room) and submits the completed list to Housing Services.
  • Housing Services is provided with charge information specific to each member.
  • All members are provided with charge information via email; they are to confirm the charge amounts online via a myBucknell link.
    • If members fail to acknowledge or contest the charges during allotted timeframe, the charges will be automatically implemented into student billing accounts per the direction of chapter leadership.
    • Changes can be made only with the treasurer's permission.

Considerations

  • Generally, fraternity fees are not covered by financial aid.  Please consult the Office of Financial Aid with any questions you may have regarding coverage.
  • Members living on campus must have a minimum meal plan charge of $700 (may be "dining dollars").
  • Members living off campus may be required to secure a chapter meal plan. Check with chapter leadership.
  • Members are encouraged to talk with chapter treasurers each semester in regards to their specific financial obligations to their chapters.

Fall Bill - Active Members

  • Dues
  • Meal fees
  • Housing fee (Chi Phi and Fiji)
  • Date information due to Housing Services: First Monday in April
  • MyBucknell online acknowlegdement process open: Two weeks starting the first Wedesday in April

Fall Bill - New Members

  • Dues
  • Meal fees - meal plan conversions
  • BU dining plans converted to fraternity meal plan - new members eat at house first week of October
  • Date for information due to housing: 2nd week in September
  • MyBucknell online acknowledgement process open: Middle of September

Spring Bill - Active Members

  • Dues
  • Meal Fees
  • Housing fee (Chi Phi and Fiji)
  • Date information due to Housing Services: Late October
  • myBucknell online acknowledgement process open: Late October to early November

Spring Bill - New Member

  • Dues
  • Meal fees - no meal plan conversions during Spring semester
  • BU dining plans converted to fraternity meal plan - new members eat at house starting late February.
  • Date for information due to housing: Early February
  • MyBucknell online acknowledgement process open: Middle of February
