The timing of the process for both the fall and spring begin almost immediately. In the Fall, the students will be expected to confirm meal conversion and dues billing by the middle of September. Meal plans with the chapters will start the first week of October.
The University meal plan conversion process occurrs during the month of September. It is expected that new members begin to eat at their chapter houses in the beginning of October. Please note that new members will still be obligated to their University meal plan up until the time of the final conversion. Credits or refunds will be only given for unused portions of meal plans. Meal plan credits are calculated as follows for Fall 2012:
Anytime Access and Anytime Access Plus $1,329.90 plus any unused Dining Dollars. This is calculated by taking the 66 days remaining in the semester at the daily rate is $20.15 per day.
175 Block - unused blocks at $10.80 per block plus any remaining Dining Dollars
150 Block - unused blocks at $10.81 per block plus any remaining Dining Dollars
100 Block - unused blocks at $11.01 per block plus any remaining Dining Dollars
65 Block - unused blocks at $11.23 per block plus any remaining Dining Dollars
$700 Dining Dollars - remaining balance
$1,365 Dining Dollars - remaining balance discounted at rate of .952381. Since the original cost of the meal plan was $1,300, the remaining balances must be converted to original cost to determine refund.
