BUEI's affiliation with Bucknell University allows clients to access the unique assets of the university.

The Small Business Development Center's Engineering Development Services are located in the College of Engineering on Bucknell's campus. Entrepreneurs seeking to develop, prototype, and commercialize innovative new products are guided through a customized Product Development Process and have access to faculty, college technical staff, student interns, and class-based projects at one of the Best Colleges of Engineering in the Nation. SBDC services are available to all small businesses.

University faculty and alumni serve on the incubator's advisory board and can help connect clients with university resources (class projects, interns, and mentors) in numerous fields.
