Association for the Arts

The Bucknell Association for the Arts enhances the educational experience of Bucknell students by supplementing the university's ongoing support of essential artistic opportunities.

Homecoming Weekend

October 23-24, 2009

Arts alumni returned to campus to help us honor film director Robert Mandel '67 with our Academy of Artistic Achievement Award. Bob spent time with film and theatre students and hosted a presentation open to the campus community about his journey from the Bucknell Theatre stage to the Hollywood backlot.

Mr. Mandel is currently Dean of the American Film Institute Conservatory and his film credits include FX , School Ties , Big Shots and The Substitute. He has also directed numerous television movies for HBO, Fox, ESPN, Lifetime and A&E, as well as episodic television such as The X-Files (pilot), Lost and Prison Break.

Congratulations Bob!
