Management

“I’m really interested in marketing and advertising. Management combines a lot of my interests. There’s the discipline of finance and accounting, but there’s also the creativity of marketing and advertising, which I really enjoy, too. To combine all those is the ideal major for me.”

Departmental pride

The beauty of a liberal arts university like Bucknell is the cross-pollination of ideas and knowledge among departments, which creates unlimited interdisciplinary learning opportunities. None operate in a vacuum, yet each has its own unique character. Professors are able to build an almost-familial sense of camaraderie that extends to their students — with whom many stay in touch long after graduation.

Academic departments:

  • Range from Art and Art History to Mechanical Engineering, and from Management to Women's and Gender Studies.
  • Are carefully crafted by hiring the most qualified and best-fitting faculty and staff.
  • Work together to create encompassing learning experiences.

A distinct giving opportunity

If you're a Bucknell alum, your own department may have a special place in your heart. Or maybe there's a certain area of study that you especially would like to support. Giving to an academic department helps to shape the future of the University, and helps ensure that students have a valuable and relevant education that will serve them well in the years to come.

Why support an academic department?

  • To show your appreciation to those who mentored you or someone close to you while at Bucknell.
  • To enable departments to buy the equipment they need to enhance education and research.
  • To help ensure a strong future for a department that you feel is particularly important.
