"Gifts to the Bison Club are essential to the success of Bucknell Athletics. The University only covers part of the budget for varsity programs. Private gifts ensure that each team can provide travel, accommodations, and post-season play for all athletes. Without donor support, my team, Swimming and Diving, would not have been able to compete at US Nationals and Olympic Trials, two of the highest-level competitions in the country." |
When you combine Division I athletics with a world-class liberal arts education, you get a truly special college experience. Only a few universities offer exceptional programs both in the classroom and on the playing field - and Bucknell is one of them.

Bison Club gifts provide nearly 40 percent of the athletics department operating budget. Whether you support a program of your choice or the entire athletics department, your gift ensures that our dedicated student-athletes will have the resources they need to compete at the highest levels, to excel academically, and to develop leadership skills that will serve them for a lifetime.
Why support Bison athletics?
-
Enable teams to buy essential equipment.
-
Help fund student-athlete recruitment.
-
Show your appreciation to coaches who mentored you or someone close to you at Bucknell.

Two-hundred forty-seven Bucknell student-athletes posted a GPA of at least 3.50 and scored a spot on the 2012 fall semester dean's list. They included 36 team captains and 26 student-athletes who earned perfect 4.0 averages.
