Center for the Study of Race, Ethnicity and Gender

The Center for the Study of Race, Ethnicity, and Gender (CSREG) supports faculty development, scholarship, and interdisciplinary exchange and collaboration on issues of race, ethnicity, and gender and their intersections with other aspects of difference.

Environmental Center

The Environmental Center provides a highly visible venue for environmental scholarship and activism. Truly interdisciplinary, it draws from many programs, including biology, English, chemical engineering, geology and management. Full funding for the center will allow Bucknell to nurture this rapidly growing and vibrant cohort of students and faculty, supporting activities such as on-campus presentations from visiting scholars, outreach to campus and community, and research and exploration related to the environment.

Film/Media Production Clinic

The Film/Media Production Clinic (FMPC) provides students with real-world opportunities to produce broadcast-quality content for non-profit organizations.

Griot Institute for Africana Studies

The Griot Institute for Africana Studies focuses on faculty and student intellectual and creative engagement with the interdisciplinary investigation of the cultures, histories, narratives, peoples, geographies and arts of Africa and the Africa diaspora.

Institute for Leadership in Technology and Management

Established in 1993, ILTM brings together the best and most highly motivated rising juniors in engineering, management and the liberal arts to engage in an intensive six-week, on-campus summer program with faculty and highly regarded practitioners. Its unique strength is preparing students for leadership in sophisticated technology industries.

Institute for Lifelong Learning

The Bucknell Institute for Lifelong Learning (BILL) engages mature learners from a wide range of educational backgrounds in creative and intellectual activities that expand their horizons, invigorate their minds, and stimulate curiosity and the joy of learning.

Public Policy Institute

Now more than ever, it is essential for Bucknell students to become educated and actively engaged citizens. The Public Policy Institute will build programs with strong research and teaching within both international and domestic policy fields, combining theoretical and empirical research with practical applications.

Small Business Development Center

The Bucknell University Small Business Development Center (SBDC) helps businesses start, grow and prosper by providing entrepreneurs with the education, information and tools necessary to build successful businesses.

Stadler Center for Poetry

The Stadler Center for Poetry is a professional literary center offering a wide range of programs and residencies for emerging and established poets and writers. It is also the home of West Branch, Bucknell's national journal of poetry, fiction, essays, and reviews.

Teaching and Learning Center

Created in 2006, the center enhances faculty learning and helps faculty communicate as effectively as possible with students. It sponsors workshops and programs, provides resources, mentoring and individual consultations, maintains a teaching exchange program and supports faculty discussion groups. TLC's Student Learning Support programs, established in 2012, help students maximize their academic success through individual consultations, workshops and tutoring, including in math and science. 

Writing Program and Writing Center

Established to support Bucknell's Writing Across the Curriculum Program, the Writing Center encourages writing as a process of creating and communicating knowledge and seeks to generate active learning, primarily by facilitating talk among thoughtful and supportive fellow writers.
