Campaign co-chair William Morrow '70, and his wife, Madeline, committed $6 million toward the University's strategic priorities, including Academic West.
The Morrows' gift spans the full range of the liberal arts learning experience, benefiting scholarships, academic facilities, the Annual Fund, study abroad and athletics. It is one of only seven gifts to Bucknell of $5 million or more in the past 15 years.
"This is a gift that came from the heart," said Morrow, a Bucknell trustee. "First as a Navy kid, and then after graduating from Bucknell, I moved constantly. There was no single point of reference for me. I've been living overseas for 22 years, and Bucknell has become my portal back to the U.S. It is my anchor to America."
The Morrows’ loyalty and leadership are part of the can-do approach to life that defines Bucknell and are at the core of The Campaign for Bucknell University.
