Giving to Bucknell

We invest in the environment.

David ’56 P’79 and Patricia Ekedahl P’79

When donors make gift designations, they turn their passions into lasting influence and ideas into reality, in the fullest spirit of We Do. Trustee David Ekedahl '56 P'79 and his wife, Patricia Ekedahl P'79,  supported their interest in environmental issues by establishing an endowed professorship.

The David and Patricia Ekedahl Professorship in Environmental Studies is awarded to a current faculty member in terms of up to five years. The position provides lasting resources to strengthen this increasingly important area.

Endowed academic positions are a campaign priority. They reward outstanding teaching and scholarship by current tenure-track faculty and help recruit superior faculty from other institutions.

The Ekedahls’ gift recognizes that through philanthropy they enable faculty and students to bring to bear Bucknell’s range of programs to examine complex issues, such as the environment, from many perspectives.
