Remember When

You can take an idea and make it a dream - you really can! It just takes a lot of work," says Jill Adams, owner of Remember When, located at 3 S. 11th Street, Mifflinburg. Celebrating a decade of successfully being in business, Remember When, which opened in November 2011, offers country to primitive interior design merchandise. Since inception, the business has grown to also include antiques and private client consultations for personalized home decorating.

In 2001, Jill approached the Bucknell SBDC for assistance in turning her love of decorating into a business. The consultants helped her to "follow through with the opportunity to know what I was getting into, especially all that paperwork." She purchased a property, renovated it, and opened sooner than expected.

Today, Remember When continues to experience sales growth, although Jill does not wish for the business to grow bigger. She views her customers as her friends and wants to be able to maintain close relationships. Jill proudly promotes made in the U.S. products by using ten to twelve local suppliers or Pennsylvania businesses to complete her orders.
