A Study Groups program in introductory math and science courses is being piloted in Spring 2013. Any student who is a member of one of the pilot courses may sign up for this weekly program. Groups of 6-10 students are led by trained peer facilitators, and meet 1 1/2 hours per week throughout the semester. Effective study groups have been demonstrated to provide meaningful and efficient mechanisms for learning. The Tutoring Program in Math and Science offers assistance to those needing help in introductory courses in biology, physics, mathematics and chemistry on a first-come, first-served basis. This program is meant for those who have already used the primary channels of academic assistance (talking with the professor, attending help sessions, etc.) and are still having problems grasping course materials and concepts. Detailed information about these programs is available on myBucknell (login reqired).
