Students in the Residential Colleges say they are more likely to:

  • Participate in service-learning opportunities
  • Attend art exhibits and performances
  • Talk about ideas and career plans with faculty
  • Work with faculty on projects outside of coursework
  • Try to better understand someone else's views
  • Learn something that changed the way they understand a topic

"During my first year at Bucknell, the Social Justice Residential College gave me an unbelievable and unforgettable experience. It gave me an opportunity to have class with other students in the college and build strong friendships to help me over the hump while adjusting to a new lifestyle. Social Justice allowed me to learn more about the injustices that take place in the world surrounding us. It gave me the opportunity to step out of my comfort zone and participate in eye-opening service trips and discussions that allowed me to see in ways I never had before." - Anthony Gingerelli, Class of 2015, management major
