LEWISBURG, Pa. — The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Bucknell University will offer the workshop, "Shale Energy 101; Small Business Supply Chain Opportunities," Thursday, June 6, from 8 a.m. to noon in the SBDC Business Education Center, Room 308 of the DeWitt Building at 416 Market St. in Lewisburg.
The discussion will focus on the shale industry, including Marcellus and Utica Shale, how businesses benefit from the shale industry, what drives the supply chain, tracking and learning about the industry and trends as well as resources and helpful links and local businesses success stories.
Presenters will include Steve Stumbris, director of the Bucknell SBDC; Maureen Hauck, assistant director of business consulting with the Bucknell SBDC; Matt Henderson, shale gas asset manager with Penn State Marcellus Center for Outreach and Research; and Randy Beiler, of Pik Rite, Inc. as well as a representative from Stahl Sheaffer Engineering LLC.
