Tutoring Opportunities

Bucknell Buddies 

In the spring of 2002, the Office of Service Learning hired a VISTA worker to coordinate an after-school tutoring program and outreach to Head Start sites in the local school districts. The newly hired VISTA coordinator implemented tutor training with Bucknell University Education faculty and Lewisburg Area Kelly Elementary school staff.

Head Start Programs 

The Head Start program here at Bucknell is part of the National Head Start Association, a private non-profit organization that provides services of education, health, nutrition and parent involvement to low-income families with children.
