International Education

History:
The exchange program between the School of Chemical Engineering of the Universitat Rovira i Virgili in Tarragona, Spain, and Bucknell University's Department of Chemical Engineering was established in September 2000.

Eligibility:
Junior standing and a 3.0 cumulative grade point average, and proficiency in Spanish at least at the intermediate level.

Length of Stay:
Spring semester (mid February to early June)

Academic Features:  

  • Instruction in English for required Engineering courses

  • Spanish language instruction at the appropriate level

  • Research project(s) under the direction of a faculty member

  • Assigned academic adviser in the School of Chemical Engineering

  • Transfer credit toward the Bucknell degree for courses passed with a "C" or better

Orientation:
Provided upon arrival.

Housing:
University housing in a dormitory with meal plan or in private self-catering apartments if university housing is not available.
