Clearance Forms: You will not receive a field placement until your clearances are on file in the department office.  If you are registered for a class that has a practicum component in which you work in a local school as a tutor, observer, or student teacher, you need to obtain the 3 clearances below before you start your work in local schools.  Directions to correctly fill out the clearance forms.

1. Act 151 PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form

2. Act 34 PA Criminal History Record Check

3. FBI Criminal History (Fingerprint)

Pennsylvania Certification:

New teachers obtain certification through the online TIMS (Teacher Information Management) System which can be found on the Pennsylvania Department of Education website. This application should be completed at the end of your coursework at Bucknell. Please read all instructions carefully before completing the forms and use the checklist provided.
