Digital television programming for the Bucknell campusBucknell students have access to television programming in individual residence hall rooms. BU TV offers over 60 channels of commercial television programming with an additional 6 channels for international programming. Our wide-ranging channel line-up was selected specifically for Bucknell to balance the entertainment and educational content needs of the campus community. This totally digital service takes advantage of the university's high-speed data network and is available to students living in all university residence halls, special interests houses, and university owned fraternity houses. In order to connect to BU TV, each room must purchase a set top box which connects to their television and allows them to easily view the programming guide and switch between channels. BU TV Set top box kits can be purchased at the Bucknell Bookstore. In 2007-8, set top boxes (packaged with a switch and appropriate network cables) sold for $199.99. Connecting your set top box To begin using BUTV, simply connect your set top to the network according to the directions below. When prompted for your activation code, use your BUID. You will be billed based upon activating your set top box. Roommates should work out the subscription costs between themselves.
