Voicemail Features

Voice Mail is indicated by a light (and/or broken dial tone if your phone doesn't have a light). 25 messages can be stored in your mailbox. Dial 76600 to access Voice Mail from campus.


Calling Voice Mail from home
Dial: 570-577-6600
When VM answers, press: #
Enter your Voice mailbox #
Enter your password. (To call from a different campus phone than your phone, listen carefully to msg. Sometimes, you must enter a * instead of # in 2nd step above.)

Forwarding a Message (Mailbox you are forwarding to must have VM on it)
Press: 6
Record intro, press # when finished
Enter destination mailbox #
Press # to send message. ( You can forward to multiple mailboxes)

Greeting (This greeting can be skipped-use #)
To change your personal greeting:
After logging into Voice mail with password:
Press 4 (Personal Options)
Press 3 (Greetings)
Press 1 (Personal Greeting Mode)
Press 2 to Make a Personal Greeting (cannot exceed 30 seconds)
Press 1 to create greeting for when away form phone

To setup Extended Absence Greeting (Temp. greeting used instead of normal one)
Log into Voice mail with password:
Press 4 (Personal Options)
Press 3 (Greetings)
Press 2 (Extended Absence Greeting)
Follow instructions. (Asks you to delete/keep this greeting, each time you access VM. This greeting cannot be skipped.)

Group Lists (Groups to send messages to)
After logging into VM with your password:
Press 4 (Personal Options)
Press 2 to change Admin. Options
Press 2 to Change Group Distribution Lists
Press 1 to create a list
Enter a two digit number for new list (11-20)
Say a name for list, then press: #
Enter mailbox number to include in list
(For students in single rooms, mailbox = 7 + four digit phone #, in other rooms, mailbox = 1, 2, 3 or 4 + four digit phone #.) When all have been entered (25 max.), press *

Leaving Messages
Message length cannot exceed 1 1/2 minutes
To skip a VM greeting and leave a msg, press #, when greeting is playing.

Name-Changing Your Recorded Name
Log into Voice Mail with password:
Press 4 (Personal Options)
Press 3 (Greetings)
Press 3 (Name)
Follow system instructions.

Password - Changing your password
Log into Voice mail with password:
Press 4 (Personal Options)
Press 2 (Administrative Options)
Press 1 (Passwords)
Follow system instructions.
Playing Messages
Log into voice mail with password:
Press 1 twice
Use thise options during playback of msgs:
Press 1 (twice) to rewind to beginning of message.
Press 2 to pause / restart message
Press 3 (twice) to forward to the end of msg
Press 4 (repeatedly) to slow down msg
Press 5 to hear date, time, sender of msg
Press 9 to increase volume
Press 8 to return volume to normal
Press 0 to hear all playback options
Press # to skip to next message
Press # (twice) to skip to archived message

Saving Messages
Press 7 at end of msg.
Messages can be saved for 15 days

Replying to a Message (VM must be set up on mailbox that sent msg.)
Press 8 at end of msg
Record reply, press: # when finished
Press # to send reply.

Sending Messages (Does NOT ring phone)
From main menu (menu after logging into VM):
Press 2 (Send Messages)
Record message, press: # when finished.
Enter destination mailbox(es) or group list number (to confirm receipt, press 3)
Press # to send msg.
(Mailbox you are sending to must have VM. You can send to multiple mailboxes.)

Settings:
Date/Time (announces when playing msgs)
Press 4 (Personal Options)
Press 2 (Admin. Options)
Press 4 (Date / time playback)
If set to ON, you will hear date / time when msg. plays
