Student Voice Mail Instructions


Initializing Your OCTEL Voice Mailbox

  1. Call the OCTEL system telephone number 76600

  1. Enter your temporary password (this is a 1 followed by your BUID#)

  1. Enter a new password containing at least 8 digits, but less than 15 digits

  1. State your name as you want it to be announced to people who address messages to your mailbox

  1. Press # to accept the name as recorded, or press * to record your name again

  1. Record your greeting

  1. Press # to accept the greeting as recorded, or press * to record your greeting again

  1. Listen to recorded tips about using your mailbox

To access your voice mail from off campus, dial 570-577-6600.

  1. When it asks you to enter the number of the person you are dialing, press #.

  2. Enter your mailbox number (this is your 5 digit extension)
