Bison Laptop program Bucknell offers the Dell Latitude D630 and D830 that we have configured for use at Bucknell. We offer special pricing, loaner laptops, on-site parts, Dell-certified warranty service, and expedited attention at the Tech Desk for those who partake in the Bison Laptop program. We also support Apple and other makes of computers, but we cannot provide the same level of support. Back it up, Bucknell! We highly recommend that students back up their personal data to an external hard drive and use their 600mb of private network space to store vital academic documents.
Appropriate Usage Policy The AUP promotes the use of Bucknell's computing resources in an efficient, ethical and lawful manner. By using University computing facilities, resources, and accounts, users agree to the guidelines contained within the Bucknell Appropriate Usage Policy. Most of these guidelines follow the general rules of common sense and common courtesy. Backup policy We strongly encourage everyone to buy an external hard drive and back up their data on a regular basis! We can provide recommendations and assistance at the Tech Desk. If your machine comes to the tech desk and needs reimaging due to software or hardware problems, we will expect that you have backed up your data - we can not back up your personal data (music, documents, photos, etc.)
