John Webber was a three-year letterman in baseball and basketball at Bucknell. He was signed by the Chicago White Sox following graduation. He was the top fielding shortstop in the Wisconsin State League in 1952, and in 1953 and 1954 played on Army World Series championship teams. Webber later served as a Major League Baseball scout with the Los Angeles Dodgers and Seattle Mariners. He was inducted into Bucknell's Baseball and Basketball Hall of Fame in 1993.John S. Webber '52
