Studying off-campus is a large financial commitment and understanding the full extent of the costs is an important part of the decision-making and planning process. As you prepare to study abroad, the Office of International Education provides you with the information and resources to begin planning your off-campus study experience.

The cost of studying off-campus varies greatly depending on program and provider. In addition to the cost of Bucknell tuition, there are several other costs associated with studying abroad, including: room, board, books, entertainment and extraneous travel and miscellaneous incidental costs. Please check the details of each program for an explanation of fees.

Billing for Bucknell "In" Programs
(Programs administered and run by Bucknell University)

  • Students studying on a full year or semester long Bucknell in Program will pay the comprehensive university fee (tuition, housing etc...) just as if they were studying on campus.

Billing for Provider Programs
(Programs administered and run by other institutions)

  • Students participating on an approved provider program will be billed separately for tuition and housing/ancillary costs.
  • Students will be invoiced directly by Bucknell University for their regular tuition rate, and in turn Bucknell will pay the program provider tuition fees.
  • In addition to being invoiced by Bucknell, the students will also be invoiced by the program provider for any type of program fee (housing, room/board etc..) or ancillary non-tuition cost.
