The Bucknell University Choirs, under the direction of Director of Choral Activities, Dr. Beth Willer, enjoy a celebrated tradition of esteemed performances and artistic collaboration at Bucknell and across the globe. Together with the Bucknell Opera Theatre, the choirs offer a wealth of ensemble experience to both majors and non-majors interest in pursuit of vocal performance at Bucknell.

Bucknell University Choir

The Bucknell University Choir is the University’s select treble choir, open to all sopranos and altos, comprised of 32-40 voices, and representing nearly every major field of study at Bucknell. Performing a diverse repertoire drawn from the last seven centuries, the University Choir presents concerts of a cappella and accompanied works each academic semester at venues across the Bucknell Campus. Projects include performance on the Rooke Chapel Candlelight Carols Services, frequent collaborations with guest artists, world premieres of commissioned works, choral-orchestral masterworks, and domestic and international touring.

Bucknell Camerata

The Bucknell Camerata is the University's select mixed choir, comprised of 16-24 voices, and representing nearly every major field of study at Bucknell. Founded in 2015, the Camerata specializes in the performance of early and contemporary repertoires, including world premieres and Baroque masterworks with orchestra, supplemented by a broad repertoire from the past seven centuries. A highlight of the Camerata’s season is its annual Bach@Bucknell festival, featuring collaborative performance with guest soloists and orchestra. Additional performance opportunities include the Rooke Chapel Candlelight Carols Services, and domestic and international touring.
