Personal Enrichment Classes

In 2014, we offered 25 plus sessions including Intro to Yoga, Pasta Making, Breakfast Smoothies, Smoked Meats, Digital Photography, Last Pass, Hiking, Wine Tasting, Golf, CPR Training and an Arboretum Tour just to name a few.

Thank you to the faculty and staff who donated their time and expertise in presenting sessions for their colleagues: Lisa Adams-Verge, Ian Bower, David Burch, Duane Griffin, Carol High, Laurel Kopecky, Ryan LeBreton, Leanne Matullo, Kyle Murphy, Melissa Rycroft, Sarajane Snyder, Tony Stafford, John Testa, Kirsten Walter, and Matt Watkins.

We would also like to thank Lisa Golfieri in Admissions for helping set up the campus tours, Brian Kelly at the Golf Course to help set up the golf tournament, and Jamie Ritter in Events Management for helping us with the scheduling of all the events.

And finally, thanks to the department heads and managers for allowing their staff the flexibility to participate in wellness event held throughout Personal Enrichment Week.

The Bison Stampede

Approximately 300 faculty, staff, dependents and even a few students registered for the event, which concluded with a wellness fair, breakfast and door prizes. What a great way to start the week, and the weather was perfect! We did have to detour our route to compensate for many construction projects on campus, but we persevered and had lots of fun along the way.

  • Matt Lamparter, Director of Electrical Engineering Labs
  • Barb Martin, Compliance Officer and Title IX Coordinator
  • Alumni Relations won a Bragging Bison for having the greatest percentage of participation.

James Hamm was first across the finish line. As a student worker in facilities, he is not eligible to win a Bragging Bison, but we still want to brag about his accomplishment.

Staff Art Show

The week also included the Staff Art Show, displaying woodworking, quilts, paintings, and other art from faculty and staff throughout the week. The Art Show Reception gave people the opportunity to meet the artists while enjoying light refreshments. Pieces were loaned to the show by Jeff Campbell, Lina Ferrara, Owen Floody, Kelly Harris, Marie Jacob, Tony Lepley, Jamie Piperberg, Melissa Rycroft, and Kirsten Walter. Special thanks to the Library staff for allowing the Art Show to be displayed in the main floor of the Library, as well as providing space for the reception.
