The Provost is the University's chief academic officer, responsible to the President for integrating our living and learning environments to achieve Bucknell's main goal: To transform students through rigorous and sustained academic study supported and enriched by co-curricular and residential experiences.
Bucknell faculty and students are engaged learners, responding to today's problems and shaping future solutions. They take advantage of Bucknell's unique combination of a liberal arts university with strengths in professional fields of Engineering, Management, Education and Music.
How We Meet the Challenge
With over 3500 students, a 9:1 student faculty ratio, and more than 50 majors, Bucknell is big enough to challenge our students academically, and small enough to provide mentoring and support for meeting those challenges.
47 majors are available. Fully immerse yourself in one area — or combine the fields you love into a double major. Pair Spanish with music, or education with public policy. Pursue botany and theatre, or global management and classics.
Robert Drake '73, managing director of NGM International BV, Maashaven Holding BV and Cygne AG, will speak at Bucknell University on Wednesday, Nov. 2, at 4 p.m. in the Elaine Langone Center Forum. This talk is part of the 2016 Walling Lecture Series and is free and open to the public.
