There are many ways that Bucknell Alumni & parents can volunteer with the offices of Alumni Relations and Career Development.
Willing to talk with students about their careers; provide students with valuable information about possible future careers and particular jobs - a typical work day, special training needed, industry trends and more. Information is available in a searchable directory on B-Link. Keep in mind we are unable to predict the number of contacts you will receive within any given academic year.
Serve as a panelists or keynote speakers to facilitate job search and career conversations at Bucknell.
Willing to facilitate conversations on a wide variety of industries and participate in industry-focused or geographic-focused networking programs or panels held either on or off campus. Individuals will be contacted as needs arise regarding your interest in taking part in the wide variety of programs that the CDC holds to provide students the opportunity to find contacts in their field of interest.
The BPIP Internship Fund provides financial support for selected undergraduates who have secured a full-time summer internship with a non-profit, governmental, or public interest organization in which no compensation is provided. If your organization is nonprofit, or perhaps has a Foundation as part of its structure, please consider becoming involved with BPIP. In addition, we are also looking for experts in the field who are willing to return to campus to serve as keynote speakers or participate in a career panel program to help educate students about the various types of work options available within this diverse career field.
Willing and able to offer short term (2 day) career shadowing experiences to our sophomore students in a variety of settings during either winter or spring break. Read more ...
Willing and able to offer internships (both paying and nonpaying) or full-time opportunities to Bucknell students. Internship listings will be publicized to students and participating employers will have three choices: collecting resumes and scheduling a follow up on-campus interview, collecting resumes and inviting qualified candidates on-site for interviews (resume referrals) or online job listings that instruct the students to contact the employer directly.
