Looking for something to do in the next few days?

  • Friday, April 19th from 3:30-6:00 p.m., Wild Goose Farm is looking for volunteers to help with outdoor clean up. Volunteers should wear good working shoes, long pants, and long sleeved shirts as we will be working in the woods. Please contact Kathy at kkrisgur@bucknell.edu Volunteers must provide their own transportation.
  • Saturday, April 26th, volunteers are needed to help set up for the Art's Festival on April 26th from 8:00-9:00 am and then clean up from 5:00-6:00 pm. The festival takes place on Market street. Please contact hutchnsn@bucknell.edu.
  • Saturday, April 26th, the Lewisburg PSA needs volunteers to help oversee and run children's art activities at their tent at the Lewisburg Art's Festival. The location of their tent will be at Soldier's Field, down by the bridge in Lewisburg. The shift times are 11:00-12:00, 12:00-1:00 and 1:00-2:00.   • Monday, April 28th, Transitions is hosting an event at The Campus Theater to honor Evangelical Community Hospital's Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner Program. We are hoping to have about 5 volunteers for the event between 10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. This would entail setting up and manning a registration table, setting out and refilling food stations, and manning a beverage station. || Contact heather_o@transitionsofpa.org to volunteer.

Brown Conference Center in Cowan

Bucknell's conference center is looking for some volunteers to help do some outdoor clean up. Days and times are very flexible. Volunteers must provide their own transportation to Cowan. || Contact Gina at gls016@bucknell.edu.

Community Harvest

This summer, volunteers are needed to help serve the weekly Community Harvest meal, located at 102 Lower Market Street, Milton PA 17847. The free hot meal takes place each Monday at 5:00 p.m. in Milton and we feed about 100 to 130 people. Volunteers would need to arrive between 4:45 and 4:50 p.m. Once the meal is served, the volunteers assist with the cleaning up process (washing and drying dishes, sweeping, mopping, etc) which ends around 6:30 p.m.

It's a great thing to do as a family, or with members of your department or office staff, research team, or friends. We incorporate fresh produce from the Lewisburg Community Garden into each meal and share fellowship with patrons of Community Harvest. || Interested? Please contact Lynn at lcp008@bucknell.edu

Lewisburg Community Garden

The Lewisburg Community Garden has a number of opportunities for volunteers! The garden is within walking distance at the corer of St. Anthony and North Front Street. || To sign up for volunteer opportunities, please visit their Google Site.

Head Start

A local Head Start site needs assistance breaking ground and building some raised beds for their educational garden. The time/days are very flexible for this project. Volunteers needs to provide their own transportation. || Please contact Amanda at asmith@sumcd.org.
