The 7th Street Studio is set up so that you may continue to explore a craft already familiar to you or learn something new. Located in the rear of the Seventh Street Cafe, the center offers a wide range of classes and individual instruction. This semester's workshop schedule appears on the left.

The center also provides supplies, tools, equipment, and workspace for student use on individual projects. Everyone is welcome!



Spring 2017 TBD
In this class students will be introduced to the art of bookmaking as they learn a variety of techniques to create their own hand-bound books for sketching, journaling or travel. Students will learn accordion and pamphlet binding as well as how to create a hardcover. Students will also use a variety of media to create personalized covers and endpapers. Bookmaking is a fun and accessible art for anyone who enjoys attention to detail, the creativity of crafting, and getting quite sticky with glue. This class is appropriate for booklovers and artists of all types and skill-levels.
