Have you ever wanted to sew your own bags or accessories? Do you wish you could make things that are uniquely you? If so, join Sewing Studio I to learn basic machine sewing techniques, experiment with a variety of materials and discover the satisfaction of making something with your own hands. In this class we will learn to construct bags, pajamas, amd more, while laying the foundation for sewing more complex projects in the future. Sewing Studio is an opportunity to enjoy the creative process, learn new skills and make a variety of fun and useful projects.

Wendy Parks is an artist, teacher and seamstress. She received her BA in fine arts from Wesleyan University and her MAT in art and design education from the Rhode Island School of Design. After teaching art for three years in Massachusetts, she moved to Lewisburg where she is currently working toward a fully "me-made" wardrobe and sewing bags, clutches and more for her Etsy shop, Thread and Ginger. She is excited to be teaching at the Bucknell 7th Street Studio!
