The Capitol Hill Internship Program was established in 2005 to provide internship opportunities in Washington, DC or local Congressional districts for students who are interested in learning more about the Legislative Branch. This program provides a stipend of $300 per week up to a maximum of $3,000 for the summer for students who are able to secure an unpaid, non-credit internship.

Application Deadline

The deadline to apply is late November/early December. Applicants selected to participate in the program will be notified by the Career Development Center in early January. The selection process is competitive and students are encouraged to start the application process early, especially since a faculty letter of recommendation is required.

Selected applicants will work closely with representatives of McAllister & Quinn LLC in the spring semester to begin identifying internship opportunities. Students will be responsible for following up on leads they get through McAllister & Quinn LLC; placement is not guaranteed.

Information Sessions

Information Sessions are held throughout the fall semester. Check the calendar on the Bridge to find dates and times.
