Bucknell offers a variety of available jobs on campus. Many students have found that working on campus is a great opportunity to earn extra money, get work experience, as well as enrich their personal skills. Students in F-1 and J-1 status are permitted to work on campus without authorization of USCIS. Employment is restricted to 20 hours a week when classes are in session. Students who work more than 20 hours per week while classes are in session will be out-of-status.

Employees in the United States typically work 35-40 hours per week. During the summer when a student is not enrolled in summer school or when classes are not in session such as during scheduled breaks and national holidays, international students can work 40 hours per week on campus.

Students working on campus, will be paid through the payroll office. Many of your student payroll questions can be answered by visiting the Student Payroll section in myBucknell.
