Your directory photo must meet these technical requirements:
- A .JPG file that is no larger than 299x375 (pixels) or 75K (passport size) and no smaller than 10K
What we tend to find is that students attempt to upload photos that are too large and then sometimes they compress them down to a size that is actually below the requirement. If you try to upload a photo directly from a digital camera, it's almost certainly going to be too large. Fortunately, in most cases a crop and re-save of the file gets it down to the appropriate size.
Both Microsoft Windows and Apple OS-X have built-in, free software that is capable of resizing photos.
Please provide a recent photo. Your photo must meet the following specifications:
- Color photo of head and shoulders only facing forward
- No side or angle shots
- No hats, sunglasses, or anything else that covers the face
- No other people in the photo
- Clear solid background
