A 1996 graduate of Bucknell University, Carol Kennedy joined the President's Office in September 2010 after serving as associate director of donor relations in the Office of Development & Alumni Relations. Prior to her return to Bucknell as a staff member, she spent several years in Washington, D.C., as the vice president of corporate membership development and assistant to the president for the American Advertising Federation, a trade association representing the advertising industry. She began her career in Indianapolis, Ind., as a member of the chapter services staff at the international headquarters of Kappa Alpha Theta Fraternity for women.
Carol's experience representing Bucknell with students, faculty, staff, alumni, parents and other friends of the University has been an asset to her role as director of the Office of the President and University secretary. She serves as the principal professional aide to the president, oversees the daily operations of the office, and serves as a staff liaison to the Board of Trustees. In addition to representing the Office of the President on various University committees and in the planning of major events and programs, she contributes to the University's senior leadership team as a member of the Operations and Management Group. Carol is a 2014 graduate of the Harvard Graduate School of Education's Institute for Educational Management.
Carol and her husband, Eric, an associate professor of biomedical engineering at Bucknell, live in Lewisburg with their young children, Ellie and Calvin.
