What can I do to get ready for BizPitch?

Your 5-minute pitch will present a proposed, new, or recently launched product or service. The presentation should convey your innovative and marketable concept or venture in a concise, compelling fashion. Slides, demonstrations, and other presentation materials are encouraged. Qualifying entries will present in private to panels of judges during the preliminary round. Presentations will be followed by a brief question and answer session. The grand finale of the competition will be a public event during Global Entrepreneurship Week featuring pitch presentations from finalists.

Bucknell's Small Business Development Center (SBDC) provides confidential consulting at no fee to help you develop your plan and prepare your pitch. Entrepreneurs use business plans as a roadmap to success and pitches to convey the business concept, market opportunity, and potential profitability to investors and other sources of capital. The SBDC will help you practice and refine your pitch, and will connect participants with special programs, services, and mentors leading up to the BizPitch grand finale. Successful planning for a startup business includes the:
