Italian Video Projects
ITAL 102 Dialogue
Second-semester Italian students were asked to write a short dialogue in which they discussed what to wear to an upcoming party. The dialogue was written and performed in Italian using vocabulary and expressions they had learned in class. As you can see from this video, students had fun getting into character, and even included a few bloopers at the end of the video!

ITAL 102 Shadow Puppet
Second-semester Italian students were asked to create a short self-introduction video using the Shadow Puppet app. This activity gave students the chance to record original audio in Italian and to incorporate photos of themselves with family and friends in a creative slide show. The videos were used in class as a way to introduce students to each other at the beginning of the semester.

ITAL 385 Digital Story
Students were asked to create a digital story about a woman who had had a strong impact on their personal growth and identity, and they had to connect the story of this woman with history of Italian women's emancipation through literature and cinema. Students used Final-Cut Pro, wrote their script in Italian, provided English subtitles, recorded their story, and selected images and music.
