My work focuses on developing a better understanding of naturally occurring patterns within landscapes and how these patterns can be used to gain information about processes that drive the evolution of planetary surface. Mathematical modeling provides a powerful tool in these circumstances. Collaboration with a variety of people is one of the most exciting aspects of my work and it has given me the chance to study crater degradation on Mars, tsunami wave erosion, patterns in vegetation development, and the geometric structure of river networks.
