Preparing for Your Poster Session
This Symposium will showcase undergraduate researchers from Bloomsburg and Bucknell Universities and Geisinger Medical Center. You should dress professionally, as faculty from both institutions and professional researchers at Geisinger Center for Health Research will be in attendance.
What to Wear
You should dress professionally, as faculty from Bucknell, Bloomsburg, and other institutions as well as researchers at Geisinger Center for Health Research will be in attendance.
Be Prepared to Answer Questions
Protocol for poster sessions is that you should prepare a 3-5 minute "elevator talk" about your research and be prepared to answer questions from audience members. You will be part of the "audience" for one of the poster sessions. As a member of the audience, be curious, ask questions, and be engaged with the student researcher.
Most posters should be 30" by 40". If you require a larger poster size (up to a maximum of 36" by 48"), please indicate this on the submission form.
Please arrive between 10:00 am and 10:45 on August 6, 2013 to check in and receive information on your assigned poster location. You should plan to arrive in Danville, PA 15 to 20 minutes prior to this time, as parking and getting around the Geisinger complex is time consuming.
Park anywhere in the regular medical center lots. There is a shuttle service which can transport you to the Henry Hood Center for Health Research. You must inform the shuttle driver that this is your destination, as this is not a regular stop on their routes.
