  • Katharina studies the nature of glasses and granular media. She is particularly interested in investigating the complex behavior of glasses where individual molecules break free from their enclosing molecular cages. Understanding this motion is a goal for both experimental and theoretical research in glass dynamics. Her work combines theoretical research with computer simulations allowing her to study the structure and dynamics of the molecules.
