As a transfer student applying to Bucknell, there are several things an international student (non-U.S. citizen) should know before he/she applies.
If English is not your native language we require results from the TOEFL or IELTS. The minimum required TOEFL score is 600 on the paper-based exam (PBT) or 100 on the Internet-based exam (iBT). The minimum required IELTS score is 7.
The English language testing requirement can be waived if you have completed at least three years of high school/university courses in English and under other circumstances, by permission. To request a TOEFL/IELTS waiver, please ask your school counselor or a school official to send a request to email@example.com.
We do not offer any financial aid or scholarships to international students (non-U.S. citizens) applying as transfer students.
If you have the finances to support your education throughout your years of attendance at Bucknell, you must complete the Confidential Statement of Finances or the International Student Certification of Finances created by The College Board: www.collegeboard.com. This form is required to issue any accepted international student an F-1 visa. You must also submit a certified original bank statement indicating U.S. dollar amount of personal/parent savings or notarized affidavit indicating guaranteed support from a relative, government or other sponsoring agency.
Because the application process for international transfer students is different than that for undergraduate international students, we encourage you to visit the Transfer Admissions portion of this website.
