Receiving a bachelor's degree in biology, Charlie Vogel was a member of Kappa Sigma fraternity.
Since graduation, he has been extremely loyal and active with Bucknell. He was a board member of the Philadelphia Alumni Club for 30 years, also serving a distinguished term as president of that organization. In 1947, he founded the Detroit Alumni Club. He has been the chair of the 50th Reunion Gift Committee for the Class of '37, along with program committee chair for his 55th and 60th reunions. He was a key participant in the development of the Class of 1937 Scholarship.
A charter member of the Bison Century Club, he has been a division chairman for the 125th Anniversary Challenge Campaign and a member of the Sesquicentennial Campaign Regional Committee. He also has been a class representative, class fund manager, and has helped raise funds for his fraternity.
His wife, Virginia Fisher Vogel '40, also has been an outstanding volunteer for Bucknell. Members of the Ellen Clarke Bertrand Society, the Vogels have been continually strong benefactors of the university.
