For only the second time in the long history of awards to alumni, the board of directors of the Alumni Association, by unanimous consent, decided to honor a member of the university's professional staff - John Zeller, vice president for administration and finance.
For the past 32 years, his sense of style has handsomely effected the physical environment of our university, enhanced the intellectual community of our faculty and scholars; and countless generations of Bucknell students and colleagues have profited from his wise counsel and generous spirit. His wit, humor, competence, and compassion have served us all. As an undergraduate, John majored in political science and was a member of Delta Sigma fraternity. Having served as president of the Christian Association, his numerous activities also included student government, band, intramural sports, and Torch and Scroll.
