From a family that spans many generations of Bucknellians with a well-recognized and historic tradition to Lewisburg, Ken Slifer has served as a member of the Bucknell Board of Trustees, president of the Alumni Association, and president of the Emeritus Club. He is a tireless fund-raiser and financial supporter of the university, particularly the Bison Club. As an undergraduate, he was a dean's list student, Phi Beta Kappa, and president of his class. A member of Delta Sigma fraternity, he was active with L'Agenda, the Bucknellian, Cap and Dagger and Pi Delta Epsilon honorary journalism society. An outstanding artist while at Bucknell, he also was an accomplished orator and athlete.
