Norm Garrity's devotion to Bucknell has been extraordinary. He has served two terms as a member of the Board of Trustees, where he is now chair of the University Relations Committee and a former chair of the Greek Affairs Committee. He served on his 30th, 35th, and 40th Reunion Gift committees and is a former chair of the President's Association donor recognition society. He also has served as a Career Development Center volunteer, where he fostered the relationship between Bucknell and the business world by promoting student internships at Corning, Inc. during his years as vice chairman of Corning. He was awarded the Bud Ranck Award for devotion to the Bucknell football program. A consistent and generous donor to Bucknell, he funded the Garrity Family Scholarship, endowed a chair in the athletics department for the head football coach, and funded a state-of-the-art artificial surface for the football field. Beyond his immediate family, Norm Garrity counts 21 relatives who are associated with Bucknell, including two who have served on the Board of Trustees.
