Both Honey and Bob are members of the Class of 1944. Honey received her degree in English and Bob earned a degree in chemical engineering before enlisting in the Navy. During their undergraduate years, Bob was president of Sigma Chi fraternity and Honey was a member of Phi Mu sorority.
Generous annual contributors to the university, Bob served on the Bison Club Executive Committee for more than two decades and Honey has been the Bucknell World class reporter for half a century. Bob and Honey have been Class of 1944 officers and representatives for many years. For their 60th reunion, they are program cochairs for their class.
Seven of their family members have graduated from Bucknell, including all four of their children.
It is with great pleasue that the Bucknell alumni Association honors Robert and Helen Rhinesmith Baker with its Loyalty to Bucknell Award.
