He also has been a true friend to alma mater, having served on the Bucknell Board of Trustees since 1980.
The Walker Family Scholarship was established in 1988 to enable graduates of Clearfield County high schools to attend Bucknell. Currently, 11 students are Walker scholarship recipients. Besides his contributions to the endowed scholarship, he has made additional donations each year so that increased aid to students can be awarded.
