Banker, foundation executive, and philanthropist - Sam Woolley has achieved distinction for his tireless volunteer work.

Not only has his two decades of service as a member of the Bucknell Board of Trustees been of great value to the university, his generosity and enthusiastic willingness to work for noble causes extends far beyond our campus.

He is a trustee of the American University of Beirut, Lebanon, as well as a member of the Advisory Council for Pace College. He has served as a member of the U.S. Olympic Committee, the American Red Cross, a trustee of the U.S. Council of the International Chamber of Commerce, and a member of the United Nations Association. He has served on the Board of Foreign Missions, Mental Health Association, Society for Crippled Children and Adults, and was general chairman of the March of Dimes of New York. He completed two years as campaign and major gifts chairman for the New York City Salvation Army and has been a principal figure in revitalizing the New York Public Library.

As an undergraduate at Bucknell, Sam Woolley majored in commerce and finance. He was a member of Phi Kappa Psi fraternity, Druids, and L'Agenda.
