Yoshi has an entrepreneurial spirit that he generously shares with Bucknell students. Whether mentoring student entrepreneurs, volunteering with the Career Development Center or judging the Small Business Development Center's student entrepreneur competition, BizPitch, Yoshi brings both his passion for entrepreneurship and commitment to Bucknell to the forefront.
Yoshi is a respected entrepreneur with a results-oriented leadership style. He currently serves as managing director at The Rock Creek Group, a global investment and advisory firm. Yoshi has cofounded multiple ventures, including Intridea, Ideaspace and Nation of Makers. Earlier in his career, Yoshi also held roles at Captive Capital and NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center. Appointed by the mayor of Washington, D.C., Yoshi serves as a board member for the district's Innovation & Technology Inclusion Council.
He graduated from Bucknell University in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, double majoring in management and economics. While a student, he served as president for Bucknell Student Government and the Class of 2001. He was also a member of Phi Gamma Delta, an Annual Fund student caller and a participant in the Institute for Leadership in Technology & Management. He served on the Alumni Association Board of Directors from 2003 to 2011 and received a Master of Engineering in systems engineering from the University of Virginia in 2005. Yoshi, his wife Ceyda (Azakli) Maisami '05, and theiar son, Leo, reside in Washington, D.C.
