Our service day is a great opportunity for both those who were active in their local community, as well as those who may be volunteering for the first time. This experience gives interested students immediate contact for continued community service efforts throughout their four years at Bucknell.
As BOFers help others throughout the day, they continue to develop their own skills and strengthen the relationships with those around them.
The Building on Foundations Program prides itself on having diverse activities for students to choose from on our day of community service.
Past Projects have included: Evangelical Hospital, Geisinger Pediatric Unit, Lewisburg Red Cross, Lewisburg Area Recreational Authority, Milton YMCA, Mostly Mutts Dog Shelter, Ronald McDonald House, Sunflower Child Care Center, and T&D Cats of the World endangered large cat rescue.
Because of the diversity of available projects, BOFers are able to select an opportunity that best matches their leadership style.
